The feast of Christmas is almost upon us , families and friends will gather to celebrate the feast. If you’ve been good Father Christmas will visit your home and leave unexpected presents. Loved ones will exchange tokens of that love. Its Christmas! Yet I wonder, what gift will you and your loved ones give to the LORD ? No need for a birthday, or a bottle of Grants Whiskey. how about your time ? Come to the manger scene and pray as a family….come to Mass and welcome the Prince of Peace into your families and lives. Come, Come, Come to the manger and see the greatest gift given, the wisest story ever told! Come to Mass this Christmas and Welcome a loved home! For he lives today in bread and wine.

As we prepare to enter a new year, maybe we can all agree on one strange resolution. To be kinder and nicer to ourselves! For if you do, loving and being nice to one another should come a lot easier.
St Oscar Romero wrote This is the night foretold by Isaiah.”In the middle of the night a great light shone” ( Isaiah 9.1) ….. Which of us has not felt at some time that our lives had become pitch dark nights because of doubts about faith or the uncertainties of life or our ignorance about where we’re coming from and where we are going.? …. How consoling it is to think that on this very night, the longer and darker it is , the light of Christmas shines forth, converting night into day so that ” the people who walked in darkness will see a great light” so Isaiah says.
